I am not a big fan of westerns but 3:10 to Yuma is one of the few westerns that I thoroughly enjoyed. Once I got emotionally involved with the characters, I was on the edge of my seat. This movie has it all. Humor, action, drama and it is drenched in suspense. A tell-tale sign of a good film is when you find yourself loving the protagnoist, but also not hating the antagonist.
Russell Crowe gives a stellar performance as the charasmatic outlaw and Christian Bale is marvelous as a hardened, almost poverty stricken rancher. I really beleived both of them. The ending of this movie.....will stop your heart. You never see it coming.....
