A J.R.R. Tolkien classic, "The Lord of the Rings" series. This review could take a while but we'll cut it down just a bit. This movie has tons, and I mean, tons of awesome effects, great acting, and story line. And when I say "Tons of story line" I mean it. We'll start with effects. The effects are well done especially for it's time. Even though this movie only came out in the year 2001, technology has advanced to give more of a cutting edge to cinematography. I especially loved the fine details on Mount Doom shown throughout the movie. As well as the effects, the settings are marvelous. Every setting made was made in such detail that it looked as if it had existed for hundreds of years. I most admired the Hobbit's Shire shown at the beginning of the novel. The time it must have took to build this town must have taken a long time. The acting is also good. Each character is given and expressed in such detail that it isn't hard to describe any one of them. But the really cool thing is that I've been informed that they've filmed all 3 in the series back to back to back. This is tremendously hard to do especially keeping your team in focus. I honor The Fellowship of the Ring a 4 out of 4.
