One of the great hidden gems of B-action cinema, Laser Mission starring the late, great Brandon Lee. It is by all means one of the most fun brain-dead 80's action movies I've ever seen.
The movie pretty much showcases all the great moronic cliches of action movies, like Commando, Rambo, or any Steven Seagul and Van Damme movie of your choice, but to the biggest extreme. It has the crappy one-liners, the inexpiable explosions, the villains with the foreign accents, the love interest, and the guns...it also has that famous villain that comes back after the audience thinks he's dead. NOT ONCE, oh no....but TWICE. TWICE!!! It has amazing camp charm and Brandon Lee's performance evokes that of Bruce Campbell.
I went into it expecting pure boring shit with a little bit of a laugh, but what I got was PURE-KICK-ASS-BALLS-TO-THE-WALL SHITTY MOVIE. Oh it's shitty and stupid, but it's still awesome.
