Little Vampire movie surprises at #45........

Probably not in most people's Top 50- I for one loved this movie. Despite the obvious great performances from Cruise (in my opinion his best work) and Pitt (equally as impressive), the emergence of Dunst (who sorry to say has never lived up to her breakout role here) and the small but powerful supporting roles of Slater, Rea and Banderas...it is the flair of Neil Jordans' direction that makes this movie really stand out and takes the writing of Anne Rice to a whole different level. No other director could have made it work as well as Jordan did and you could argue that it could not have been casted better either. Not a scary film at all but it works as a dark drama that keeps you glued to the screen because everything is so powerful about it. Nice work indeed.
