Best Disney Animated Film Ever.

Does it get much better than The Lion King? The animation, music, story and dialog are all perfectly weaved together into a story with universal appeal and beauty. While much deeper and more spiritual than any other film Disney has produced, the music has to be the highlight of the film. Not only Elton John and Tim Rice's memorable songs, but Hans Zimmers hauntingly beautiful score. The Lion King simply has an aspect that every person seems to be able to relate to. This was the film that proved animation could be more than just kids fare, the picture got back to the true Disney roots of films with wonderful storytelling and heart such as Bambi, Dumbo and Fantasia. If you are one of the rare members of American society who has not seen this film, I suggest dropping whatever you are doing and go out to rent this masterpiece right away. It truly is an experience you will never forget. It shows how powerful movies can be when everything comes together just right. The movie only had a budget of $45 million and managed to gross over $700 million, and was nominated for 4 Oscar awards, out of which in won 2.
