Who is Tyler Durden?

David Fincher's portrayal of this novel is truly awesome. The man we come to know as Tyler Durden has a problem. His life is so bland and predictable that it seems to him that its no longer worth living. Not to mention the insomnia that has wrapped itself around Tyler's mind making things that much more difficult. He soon meets a man( on one of his many flights around the country) Named Tyler Durden( the real TD does not realize the true meaning of this until the the very end). This Tyler shows him a new way to live life that Tyler(Norton) finds he should have been living all along. They form a "Fight Club" that soon escalates from mere a fist fighting club "just for the hell of it" to a militia who's sole purpose is to rid the world of all the things that mankind thinks are necessary for modern life, but really do nothing but keep them enslaved. They are well on there way to doing this making the authorities more and more aware of their existence by of the actions Project Mayhem provokes. The big finale is set to "go off with a bang" but Tyler(Norton) realizes something that has been going on the entire movie without him knowing it. He has to stop it, but will he be able to?
