Not Just Another Disney Movie

Not as painful as one might think, Hannah Montana: The Movie, has caught the attention of more than just the “tween” population.
Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) has always believed that her home was in the bustling city, but when she gets into a paparazzi captured shoe fight with Tyra Banks, her father (Billy Ray Cyrus) thinks differently and believes it is time for a family reunion. Hannah, although she refused to go, is tricked by her father into a plane, to the hick town of Crowley Corners where she runs into even more trouble than before.
She discovers that a reporter has found out where she is located and is searching everywhere, but right under his nose, to find her. Fortunately, Hannah has put away all of her makeup, and fancy garb and is just Miley. Miley also meets up with her best friend from her childhood Travis Broady (Lucas Till), whom she becomes romantically involved with throughout the movie.
Wholesome characters, an easy to follow plot, a barn-full of (lip synched) numbers, and the ever so popular theme of “family and friends are the most valuable things a person can have,” makes this movie a popular one for more than just five year olds. At the end of the film all you could hear were the claps and shouts of all the little kids, but the most prevalent scene was that of the parents standing up with them happy, because even though it might have been just one of Disney’s commercial products, it extols many of the great values that should be taught to the children of today. Now all parents need to worry about is whether in a few years there daughter is going to be following another Brittany Spears.
