Review - Enchanted (2007)

In the fairytale land of Andalasia, Giselle (Amy Adams) and Prince Edward (James Marsden) fell in love at first sight and immediately decided to get married. But when the even Queen Narissa (Susan Sarandon) sends Giselle to the magical land of New York City, Prince Edward must find her and deliver true love's kiss in "Enchanted."
Finally, after almost a decade, Disney proves that dreams do come true and reminds us that they can still make good movies. Using both animation and live-action, the story parodies everything Disney has been from the beginning. Giselle is every Disney princess and more rolled into one, and Adams delivers a very pure and wonderful performance.
The music also reminds one of the good old days when Disney actually had songs in its movies. The music also puts a spin on past Disney works, while still keeping the spirit alive.
"Enchanted" is a movie that truly lives up to its name, and would be enjoyed by anyone who grew up with Disney.
