When Billy Chapman (Danny Wagner and Robert Brian Wilson) was only seven years old, he witnessed a man dressed as Santa Claus murder his parents. Eleven years later, the memory having tortured him, he becomes a serial killer dressed as Santa Claus, punishing those who have been naughty in "Silent Night, Deadly Night."
From the title alone you know that this is going to be a horrible movie. Whether it's the acting or the writing that gets you, there is no way to enjoy this film in its intended manner. If anything, it's definitely worth the unintentional humor.
It’s not completely miserable though. There are a couple scenes that are tolerable and one that I actually really liked. Probably the most redeeming quality is that the death scenes are actually pretty cool for a movie like this.
“Silent Night, Deadly Night” is no “Troll 2,” but it’s pretty darn close. It’s amazing that this movie ended up having four sequels and even has a remake in the works.
