I fully believe just about all movies about Mars are somehow cursed - at least this wasn't as bad as Mission to Mars - but it wasn't far off, either. My advice - stay away from any movie with "Mars" in the title - good thing John Carter dropped that from the name, or else I might have decided to skip it.
