Truly unlike any film I've seen - a boy, Oskar (played superbly by David Bennent) just up and decides he isn't going to age anymore. He has a drum he will not relinquish and a scream that shatters glass - set against the backdrop of WWII. Oskar isn't exactly likeable - but neither are the times. Not an easy film to watch, but an important one.

Chris aka Tarkin: Hello from NYC. I have seen this film one time in theater and would buy it on DVD if I found a copy. Because of here you liv, you probably heard about what happened in 1997. This is a story that I would like to hear about from people in that part of Oklahoma. Plese respond.
