After watching the similarly-themed Super, I was expecting something along those lines, but God Bless America, while still a satire, it pretty darn dark and bleak. It's more like Natural Born Killers - a lot of killing, so much so that the message the film is trying to send drowns in a sea of blood and a hail of bullets.

I felt the movie's message was heard loud and clear, while the dialogue and violence were shared in equal amounts. Bobcat's black sense of humor does strike my funny bone hard, at times.
