Overall, a fascinating silent German film - F. W. Murnau is probably best known for Nosferatu, but I would say this is just as noteworthy - the early opening scene of the devil blocking out the sun and spreading the plague is stunning and the movie has a good flow as it explores the classic good vs. evil dichotomy. A good choice for fans of early cinema.
