As a person who normally steers clear of anything even remotely resembling a "romantic comedy" - I was still interested in Don Jon. Mainly, I wanted to see if Joseph Gordon-Levitt could direct and, I have to say, he did a standup job. Also, having Scarlett Johansson as the co-lead didn't hurt any. This is really a story about connection - not necessarily love - as Don Jon never finds it hard to get with a woman, but finds porn so much better - until he meets someone who changes his view. A fantastic debut for Gordon-Levitt.
