It's mix of Super 8, The Goonies and E.T. and while it's not going to change the world, it is a fine family film - it does have heavy elements of "found footage" however, so if you're not a fan of the shaky camera stuff, you might give it a pass. The young actors work well together and while the plot isn't deep, it is quite fun. If you're looking for some light entertainment, it's a good choice.
