Jon Stewart's directorial debut reminds me that no matter how bad I think things are in America, we should all really count our blessings because people have it much worse dealing with a regime like Iran. Gael Garcia Benal gives an excellent performance as journalist Maziar Bahari - covering the election in Iran when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won by a landslide (in what was most certainly a rigged election). Bahari is seized shortly after and charged with being a "spy" - and the film does a great job of portraying the absurdity of a serious situation. Hopefully the former Daily Show host will continue on this path, because he started off with a bang.
