After suffering through the decline of the career of M. Night Shyamalan (The Happening, The Last Airbender, After Earth) I had pretty much given up on the director. But The Visit is a return to form. Even if you are sick to death of found-footage horror, this is a keeper. Even if you figure out the twist (because, of course there is) that doesn't detract from teh overall sense of unease you get as things escalate and the grandparents become more and more unhinged. I don't know if Shyamalan will ever reach the heights he once achieved, but at least this is a step in the right direction.
