I always questioned both the decision of having Ron Howard as director and Tom Hanks as the main star for Dan Brown's series of novels following Robert Langdon and his cryptic mysteries. I soldiered through both DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons and wasn't really looking forward to this, but, for completions sake, I finally broke down. It's about as vanilla bland as the first two, and it deviates quite a bit from the novel. I liked the supporting actors here better thank Hanks or Felicity Jones, but not enough to really elevate this beyond a basic caper.
