The only saving grace in this film is Stacy Chbosky, who does exceptional as the killer's main victim. Shot in a pseudo-documentary style (with over-the-top interviews of people like FBI agents and police officers) interspersed with grainy home-video footage ala Blair Witch Project, it makes your skin crawl for sure but never gets as edgy as it thinks it is. If you want a truly unnerving experience, check out Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer instead.
