For fans of slow-burn horror, which has seen a great resurgence of late, Relic is well worth the effort. While some may find it too slow, I love that oppressive atmosphere and the feeling that something is just not right. The film is essentially a physical representation of Alzheimer's, with the ever-more decaying house serving as the surrogate - with Robyn Nevin playing the elderly mother with the right balance of sweet and just off-kilter creepy. The end is a trip as well.
