It's Slender Man crossed with Jim Jones and Scientology - and I would think that an urban legend crossed with a crazy cult would make for something entertaining, but the film is all over the place and while it does have some pretty good scenes, it never manages to gel and by the end it was just trying to do too much. It's a case of let's throw all this crap against the wall and see what sticks - and not enough works to make it worth the effort.
