It's perfectly fine - nothing big, new or exciting - just some classic tension, an ugly gremlin and a fair bit of blood at the end. Yes, the film strains credibility, but I don't think realism is the focus, but I did enjoy the twist midway through. Chloë Grace Moretz does most of the heavy lifting here (as it's mainly her stuck in the bottom gunwell for a good 2/3 of the film) and makes for a decently compelling character, even if the film tries a bit too hard to push the female empowerment angle. Overall, a fine mix of action and horror, just don't expect it to rock your world.
