Disney has truly been on a roll by expanding their horizons - Moana, Raya, Luca, Soul and Coco have explored different cultures and also managed to be excellent films. You can add Encanto to that list - steeped in Puerto Rican culture the film is vibrant with a big heap of emotion, helped along by some excellent songs via Lin-Manuel Miranda. I hope Disney continues to explore even more because if the last few years are any indication, it packs a bigger punch and helps open your eyes.
