Steven Spielberg only updates this classic musical slightly, but he is still one of the best directors out there and with pitch-perfect casting (hats off especially to Zelger, DeBoxe, Faist and, of course, the legend Rita Moreno), vibrant visuals and expert cinematography, what is old feels new again and a must-see for any fan of musicals.
