Who knew Chris Rock was such a Saw fan? I guess he pushed enough to star in this spinoff/sequel or whatever you want to call this. And he is fine but I can never shake the fact I want him to make jokes all the time - hell, the opening sequence is one big riff on Forrest Gump before getting serious. And there are gruesome scenes a plenty - and a decent story but it never really elevates to something beyond Saw meets Training Day.
