While Ti West did good with X, Pearl is even better with Mia Goth giving a top-notch performance as the small-town girl with big dreams, stifling parents and some very disturbing issues. And like Midsommar, the film is often bright and colorful - while a that sinister feeling is just below the surface. Tandi Wright also stands out as Pearl's strict mother. And you can't forget those end credits - put on a happy face indeed.
