No, it's not the pinnacle of filmmaking but it is entertaining and Jake Gyllenhaal is just good in whatever he does (even if most of this movie is just taking - or giving - beatings). That being said, Conor McGregor isn't going to win any awards as he comes off as a slightly crazier (or maybe exactly like it is) version of himself. Supporting cast is otherwise solid with Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams and Joaquim de Almeida doing a solid job. It's action boiled down to its purest form and that's about it.
