I guess if you can distill toxic masculinity into a film - you would get this. Two young women hoping for adventure run out of money and are forced to work in a remote Australian location where the local populace is mostly mining men looking to get drunk and behave badly. It doesn't help the owner (Hugo Weaving) is just as bad as the patrons. The ending was a bit abrupt but Julia Garner and Jessica Henwick portray their characters well (even if I wanted more backstory thrown in). All in all, a tense film - but probably moreso if you are female.
