Not really a horror film but more of a coming-of-age story with some creepy elements. The whole point of the film, with Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine turning in some fantastic performances, seems to be either embracing your identity or going with the status quo (and suffering the consequences). Plus it has some great 90s vibes and a great soundtrack. While it can be a bit bewildering at times, it's still a step up from director Jane Schoenbrun last film, We're All Going to the World's Fair but still has that same somewhat ambiguous feel.
