Tried to be something its not

I suppose I need to explain myself why Benjamin Button didn't deserve 3 stars. First reason and probably the most obvious one is the film's length. I mean let us be honest it's pretty damn long, there are a lot of unnecessary scenes that wasn't supposed to be there. Second thing is I did not feel the love story enough. I really don't know I mean Brad's a good actor and all but it just did not developed to something special. I almost hated the love story part halfway through the movie. Don’t get me wrong Cate and Brad look great together but I just did not feel their chemistry enough. They really tried to have something like that of a Forrest and Jenny relationship, well tried would be the best part. My third and final reason would be it became so pretentious. You almost feel like you’re watching the Notebook all over again. The Best part of this movie for me would probably be the reverse aging process. But then again there are moments when you might think even this getting younger process is too freaking slow. Kind of felt like it drags you all the way through and by the time it’s done you’ve also aged 50 years waiting for it to end. The whole revolutionary way of showing how one person can transform is the one thing that kept me going and to see it with my own eyes was the most satisfying thing I ever saw. That would be probably reason enough to witness such an elaborate piece called The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

I completely agree with you on the lack of chemistry between Brad and Cate. It was really really weak. And "Kind of felt like it drags you all the way through and by the time it’s done you’ve also aged 50 years waiting for it to end." HA! Very funny.
