STARDUST - a pleasant surprise

I was pleasantly surprise by what I saw from this very ambitious movie. Frankly I was not expecting so much, and from the trailer you could almost tell this film is gonna suck. At the end of it I was proven wrong. It’s like reading a good book which captivates you from the time you open the first page. This movie takes you back to a place you have never been. To a story you have never heard off and to top it all of was of course seeing Robert Deniro dressing in drag. And yes we have to many blondes in this movie, first catwoman herself Michelle Pfeiffer. Who to my opinion is the sexiest catwoman of all, not to mention she’s over 40 and still she’s hot as sin. Also the always controversial Sienna Miller, who in my eyes has the face of an angel, not that I’ve seen one. And lastly the star of this movie Claire Danes, no I’m not kidding she’s literally the star of this movie. Visual Effects was really the key in making this movie work. And it did, I was spellbinded. Sequences were unfolded methodically. Characters were superbly developed, special mention the 7 poltergeist hysterically funny. You could not ask more for an ensemble cast, especially the likes of Robert Deniro as a cross dressing swash buckling sky pirate. This movie certainly feels nostalgic of the LOTR trilogy maybe because the narrator was old Gandalf the grey himself. Even British comedienne Ricky Gervais is in it, of course we know him from the original The Office. Funniest scene was sword fighting with a dead guy, watch out for it. Overall this movie is worth every penny, 3 stars for me..

I might have to check it out in the cheap seats.
