Not a Darabont classic

I think they should change the title of this movie to "Lost in the Supermarket with the Mist outside". That would have been much more appropriate than its current title. If you have seen the TV series "Lost" then you'll be surprised how much resemblance this movie has to that show. Instead of being trapped in an island, the castaways or rather customers are trapped in a supermarket. The only difference I see is that there are no Koreans and a fat guy in that store. Another one is the psycho-religious lady, which from the get go I want to strangle. But then soon we would all would feel the ultimate satisfaction upon seeing her fate in the end of the movie. And what about Thomas Jane, I think the guy cannot act scared. One last thing I like is the ending, which is a mark of a true horror genius Stephen King. Overall this film is a notch lower than Mr. Darabont’s previous works. No doubt he is the right guy for the job but then I feel something is missing. Oh I know it is the feeling of being scared. Like the way I did when I saw "The Thing" maybe the ambiance has something to do with that lack of scare factor.
