Secret Window felt like just your average afternoon horror flick. Although I'm a fan of King's novels, I did not feel the whole thing blossomed on screen. Depp was good but I'm not jumping up and down the sofa. The story was poorly executed and I kind of loose interest down the middle part of the film. The element of mystery is always good but in this case I would reconsider. I find the ending predictable, as it was a bit little similar to a movie called fight club without the fighting part of course. What I like about it on the other hand was Johnny Depp's humor and charisma on screen. It seems like the inspiration for his character in this one is a combination between Sweeney Todd and Jack Sparrow. Having King’s works be brought to life on screen should be handled by a true visionary in the likes of Tim Burton for example. But to be handled in the wrong hands would result to just another forgettable horror movie just as Secret Window would be.
