this movie died a long time ago

The Deaths of Ian stone has this strong push to begin but did not have that full steam to finish. All began when this man named Ian is thrown in a loop between two realms, reality and dreams. He now can't distinguish the line that divides these two realms. Contemplating if he's just dreaming or his eyes are wide awake to witness his own bloody death. He's trapped in this sort of endless circle and could not escape the turn of his own fate. An intriguing concept one might say but then as film goes by deeper and deeper the more crooked the story gets. Like it began in a straight forward direction and ended up in a skew line of confusion. The boundary between realness and delusion somehow got mixed up and it felt as though they ripped off a lot of stuff from other great films. If I would to describe what kind of a story was it, I'd say it got a little of Dark City with a twist of Ground hog day and a teaspoon of The Matrix. And as soon as the story takes this full 360 degree turn, all the possibilities of attaining that state of greatness was now turned to dust. Plus adding that cheesy ending to top it all off made me feel even more confused than I was. This line is probably the most worn out comment of all comments but it has to be said "what a complete waste of good material". Like Jim Carrey would say from Me Myself Irene -Too much cheese on the taco.
