Shut-OFF

Almost everything about Shutter is predictable.
It contains very little amount of scare factor and the acting was poorly executed. Joshua Jackson's dull and usually dreary performance drags the film's potential to the point of failure. The antagonist does nothing new and did not really scare the bejeebies out of me. Her face is just too average to be that of a creepy symbol. The only thing that made something out of the ordinary was the whole gorgeous Japan scenery. Overall the chills were mild and the screams were shallow almost to the likes of a soundless library. Shutter is not even in the same category as that of The Ring, there's really no comparison.
