I found this to be an extremely depressing film. With no real resolution. Still I'm glad I watched it. If for no other reason than it was Meryl Streep's first film.
Once I learned that Fred Zinnemann directed it I could not help but to think how he must have felt, he who escaped from Nazi Germany. If I remember correctly his parents died in a concentration camp.
My one big complaint is that the film is called Julia, and the vast majority of the film is concerned with Lillian Hellman.
Anyways I think it's worth a view.
