I liked this movie
definitely rated R due to gore. There's decapitations, entrails being strewn about the moors, and creatures being set on fire.
the make up was done by Rick Baker. Who you movie geeks (like me) will know from his work in Planet of the Apes, Mighty Joe Young, Gorillas in the Mist, Men in Black, and An American Werewolf in London. The last one being the one he won the oscar for in the first year that make-up was a competitive field. And that is why I admire Rick Baker very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very much.
(bonus points if you know what movie that's a reference from)
One of my friends noticed that Benecio (as the werewolf) never kills any women.
If you have seen An American Werewolf in London, its very similar. They both visit London. And they are both werewolves.
Seriously if you too love make-up artistry, massive bloodletting, Victorian clothes, and werewolves...then you'll love this movie.
