this movie was definitely better than I was expecting, not that that says a lot.
If you, like myself, are a little geeky about circuses the setting of a depression era big top might be enough to enthrall you.
My one real complaint was the violence to the elephant. Now I realize this happened a lot in circuses, but I love elephants, so to me violence to an elephant is worse than any other kind of violence.
Also through out the film they refer to the female Elephant as a bull, now it is my understanding that only the males are bulls, a female would be a cow elephant. (correct me if I'm wrong)
I won't lie I did get wrapped up in this movie, but it played the abused elephant card. :-(
This film is a bland middle of the road chick flick. Not awesome, but not horrible either. I would recommend renting, rather than the theater.
