Space Truckers.
What a boring-ass film! I can't believe I fell for it.
Yes, Space Truckers starring Steven Dorff (who went on to do Alone in the Dark. Go figure) and Dennis Hopper is about truckers...IN SPACE!!! Dennis Hopper is a lone wolf trucker who goes by his own rules, but when his shipment of square pigs (yes) is taken by an evil trucking corporation, his job is taken by Dorff, who is a quick witted youngster eagre to make a name for himself. Along for th ride is Debi Mazar, who spends more than half of the film in her underwear.
Hopper, Dorff and Mazar are given the task of transporting a mysterious cargo to Earth, but they are hijacked by pirates led by a cyborg scientist who is horny for Mazar. And then the cargo comes alive and it turns out it's full of killer robots who going to be used as an army to invade Earth so the current world president can take over the world, of course. The cyborg scientist tells them, that it was he who created the robots (which we saw at the start) and then he dies, his crew die, Hopper gets to Earth, blow up the president and then everyone runs off.
Oh yeah, the other reason Hopper was going to Earth was becuase he wanted to marry Mazar.
Creepy.
Space Truckers is boring. It's billed as Predator meets Star Wars meets a comedy. NO IT DOESN'T. It's a really bad film, with sub-par acting, a poor script and hardly any action. The robot army is the best designed thing in the film. It feels like a Spaceballs rip-off. It's just that this is so boring. Debi Mazar isn't even that attractive.
I can't say much else, other than it was boring. It was mediocre. Forgettable. It sucks and blows.
I heartily reccomend you stay away. Unless you're an insomniac.
