Less Action, More Pacino

Author! Author! is one of the few Al Pacino films that doesn't have a lot of action, but there is a lot of things to love in the film.
First, the story is very realistic and fun. Al Pacino's character is married to a woman who goes from man to man and has children. Then, she leaves and gets married to someone else. Al lives with five children, two being his own, and the children love him. His character is also a screen writer who writes mainly for stage work. Most of the story follows his struggle to write a play and have it work on stage while supporting five children and dealing with his wife who keeps leaving the house.
The characters in the story are easy to love and get along with. Everything they did really helped bring out the story and make the characters ideal for what's going on in the story. The children really help bring about certain points in the story as well as Al Pacino's character.
Overall, Author! Author! is a good, dramatic film.
