Poorly Put Together

Cold Creek Manor, what can only be described as drama attempting to be a horror with a really, really bad story.
The story could have been good, but I think the writers and the director went about creating the story the wrong way. There was something about the way the story progressed that the made the movie seem way to cheesy and stupid to be taken seriously. I did connect to the story, because I spent my high school years living in a small town after living in a huge city my whole life up to that point, but other than that, the story just fell apart. I'll admit, I thought that someone would attempt to kill me out there, but not for anything like that. The idea for that movie was just stupid.
The characters acted well though, except for the kids. The kids over-acted sometimes, which brought down the mood in some of the scenes during the film and made the movie seem over the top and too animated to be taken seriously. Parts of the acting made the movie seem like a bad comedy or something like that, and the overall feel of the movie was ruined by those small moments.
I'll be honest, Cold Creek Manor really isn't worth watching. The movie was poorly put together and really not worth the trouble of watching.
