The perfect trilogy part III

This movie is by far one of my favorites! While I wasn't one of those people sleeping on the sidewalks waiting for the opportunity to buy the first ticket, nor was I one of those people dressed as their favorite characters, I was one of the thousands talking about how badly I wanted to see this as soon as the release date was announced.
Let me first start by saying that before you get into this movie you HAVE to have seen the the previous 2 movies. The opening sequence is how Smeagol comes to obtain the ring, and how it corrupts his very existence. After that light hearted opening (sarcasm can be our friend), you are immediately thrown back into the full story line. While there are a number of movies over the years that I have felt "tortured" with... meaning that as the main characters go through the emotional torments of hell, you feel for them, and in turn you feel pushed and pulled along with each twist of the plot. This is one movie that I accepted this feeling and in turn it made the experience that much better.
While the main characters split direction at the end of the Fellowship of the Ring, and continued to split in The Two Towers, everything combines together by the end of this movie to make it all complete.
The one thing that I definitely recommend to anyone interested in watching this Trilogy, to those that are new to the experience and to those that have seen it before, GET THE DIRECTORS CUT!!!!!! Some people though the movies were long already each nearly reaching 3 hours. Each movie in the directors cut has an extra 35 - 45 minutes of footage that changes many of the scenes of the film to have a completely different feel, and make the experience so much stronger! After having watched the directors versions I realized that there was not reason ever to watch the theatrical release again.
