A great family film

The idea of this movie was great, one man that most people would pass by without thinking twice about it has lived a life larger than most people could ever dream. I read the book after seeing this movie and I think this was a great adaptation. While there is a lot that couldn't be included, it is almost better that they left some of it out simply because it brought the story around to allow for it to feel slightly more believable. The soundtrack is almost as impressive as the movie itself, it is by far one of the best compilation CD's that it sold as well as the movie did when it was released.
Tom Hanks had done an amazing job portraying the slow witted Forrest, he came off as being very believable when it came to being simple. This is also the movie that brought me around to becoming a fan of Gary Sinise. His character of Lt. Dan was simply awesome.
This is one of those movies that you can watch multiple times and it still holds up as they years go by.
