When I first got a hold of this movie I thought it was going to be terrible. I didn't want to see it in the theaters because I had just become quite accustomed to Hollywood finding a way to absolutely butcher and kill things that enjoyed about my childhood. So this was a movie that I had to wait for because I didn't want to see if it would meet my expectations of failure. Well when I did finally see it I was surprised to see how much I liked it not just because it had a high level of creativity but because of how it parodied the story of Scooby Doo. They made references to cartoon, and ripped on Scrappy (the character that everyone still blames for the downfall of the tv show). The cast is loaded with teen heart throbs which was another reason why I originally avoided it, thinking that Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar would destroy the movie trying to upstage eachother, and surprisingly it worked out really well.
Rowan Atkinson was great as always he knows how to play up to the audience and he does it with a comedic grace that I haven't seen anyone able to replicate. Over all this wasn't a bad movie. While I still haven't seen the sequel yet, and there is a chance I won't, this movie was good.
