The rich and the poor

While I haven't seen this movie in years I remember it quite clearly. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell were a good match up for this movie. This was at the time when Goldie Hawn still looked really good (time hasn't done very well for her these days), and Kurt Russell could get in any movie he wanted. The plot of the movie was pretty over the top, Joanna Stayton (Hawn) was a woman who was married to a very rich man, she was a trophy wife, and she got whatever she wanted. Dean Profitt (Russell) was a contracted carpenter that was doing hired to build a closet on her yacht. She complained that it wasn't what she wanted and refused to pay, then she sailed off leaving him with nothing. Shortly after Russell sees a news report that a woman was found in the water with no ID and no memory of who she was, Slayton decided to make her pay him back in other ways, he showed up at the hospital with some doctored up photos and claimed to be her husband. Now she still has no memory and she is living at his house with his kids and trying hard to be the best parent she can be.
Well as you can probably tell this turns into a sappy love story by the end, but during the time that all of this happens hilarity ensues.
This was a good movie for the 80's when people were still thought of as being yuppies, and while things have changed leaving some of this movie dated, its not a bad film over all. Its good for families, and anyone that was a fan of these two actors will find something to like about it.
