A woman disguised and absorbed manhood to find independence. She worked at a hotel where she meets people, a lesbian, a beautiful young woman, and her rival. As she strives to reach her dreams, she has to figure herself out.

Nothing really special about this movie except Glenn Close. Good to see Aaron Johnson portraying his role. Story wise, it fell short to give drama. Characters are not strong, their backgrounds are too shallow. There were numerous off scenes, I could pin-point the good ones.
Almost bad but generally watchable.

The movie was much more than that. It was also how women were subjected to second or even third class citizen. Back in those times, it was very difficult to be a woman, so a lot of women went through extreme in trying to survive. I thought Glen Close Character was very good, she played the same role on a Broadway play, I thought she was good, but I wasn't convince to see her as a man. She was too stiff, unnatural, not real, and I fell sorry for her character, and how she ended it up losing …
