Dorian Gray

I'm glad Oscar Wilde will never see this movie.

I love the book this movie is based on, so to say this movie was a major disappointment barely even touches the surface. They took a fantastic story and tossed it into an incinerator. Then, whatever was left after that, they threw on the floor and suffocated with all of these pointless and repetitive scenes. Honestly, the middle of the movie is basically a sex montage. I was both shocked and bored at the same time, which is a very uncomfortable feeling. The one bright point of the movie was Colin Firth, who plays the role of a twisted and cynical "friend" of Dorian Gray very well. However, I would not even recommend die-hard Colin Firth fans to see this. I would not recommend ANYONE to see this. The ending of the movie is the best part, not only because we finally get to see what this snail-paced movie has been crawling towards, but we are also finished watching this dreadful piece of cinema.
