A fascinating portrait of a recently deceased young vagrant, told with detached documentary-style precision from a variety of perspectives. The unflinching way that director Agnes Varda views the young woman's life in flashback and hearsay paints a memorably cold world of hardship and poverty. Sad, but touching.
