One of the Farrelly Brothers' better films, sometimes replacing gross-out humor with genuine heart. Jack Black and Paltrow have an odd chemistry onscreen that actually seems pretty believable and, though the film still contains its share of lame, slapstick-y jokes, it pulls a little at your heart, too.
