Although, on the surface, this film works as an excellent surrealist/mockumentary comedy, it has an extra layer of specialty for those who love the cinema. Truffaut manages to simultaneously lampoon and exalt various parts of the creative filmmaking process. This film is sort of an anti-81/2 and it works so wonderfully well.
